I got tangled up up in the excitement of the new My Bloody Valentine, and I went on a new music listening kick. It included listening to this album. In full, this time. So, yeah it's a really fucking good album. I prefer it to C'mon.

I know we're not friends, exactly, Bebop junkie, but I find your affection for this band to be honorable and oddly touching for some reason. I feel terrible about it listening to the album.

I need to chill the fuck out. Seriously.

Apparently, a new compilation CD by Beaner's Central Concert Coffehouse, due to be released at the end of this month, will include an unreleased track by The Murder Of Crows (Gaelynn Lea & Alan Sparhwak), titled "Grace And A Tender Hand".

"American Buffalo Volume 2", a compilation by Noiseland Industries in LP format, available free of charge at participating Minnesota record stores on Record Store Day (April 20th), will include a track by The Murder Of Crows, "Bird Song", their first one ever to get a vinyl release.

The video will be comprised of your photos inspired by the song “So Blue” and submitted through our Facebook profile at www.facebook.com/lowmusic or on Twitter using Twitpic or Instagram. You folks are a boundlessly creative bunch and we’re excited to see how this inspiration manifests itself in your photo interpretations. Photos need to be submitted by March 12th in order to be considered for inclusion in the video. Thanks for playing along.
On Thursday, March 7 at 7:00pm, Jeff Tweedy will join us at saki in Chicago for “Off the Record”, a partnership between saki and the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events. We’ll be playing some stripped down tracks off The Invisible Way, and answering some questions along with Jeff about the making of The Invisible Way. The event is free and open to the public, admittance will be on a first-come first-served basis.
We'll also be joining Wilco at their Solid Sound Festival at Mass Moca in North Adams, MA the weekend of June 21 - 23!
Don’t forget that our The Invisible Way Tour begins in a few weeks in Toronto and continues in Europe in April and May. A full list of tour dates is below and more details for each show are available here.

Low benefit concert for Life House on The PlayList.
The band includes lead vocalist, songwriter and guitar front-man, Alan Sparhawk; Mimi Parker lends her talents on drums and vocals; and Steve Garrington adds rhythmic bass guitar and keyboard. Low’s music is often referred to as “slowcore,” a subgroup of the more widely known rock music genre. While the group isn’t a fan of that label, they were one of the first bands to adopt and popularize this music style. Discover the band’s roots, minimalistic approach to music and the personal stories of these talented musicians in this special episode of The PlayList.
This past fall, Low and Charlie Parr joined forces to raise funds, and awareness for homeless youth of the Duluth area. These two powerful forces offered a night of music in support of Life House, a local program that assists youth in escaping poverty, homelessness, and abuse. All proceeds from the concert directly benefited the lives of at risk/homeless youth through Life House’s “Adopt-A-Kid” Program.

My copy of The Invisible Way (+ The Visible End) was delivered to my satellite address in MN today. Now I gotta wait until it's forwarded to my secret actual location. And then I must figure out how to pay the credit card bill. Which will be some tricky shit. But hey, got the new Low album!
