there's nowhere round where i live that i would describe as a good restaurant, but pizzaman on lower clapton road has edible £1 pizzas.
i'm curious to try african and jamaican food because there are quite a few places round but they all look a bit shit. |

[quote=atari 2600]I think he made the topic just so he could wittily remark on the decor of that restaurant haha...quote]
True, I've only been there three times and the decor made me go back as much as the food. Happy? |

Tasties in Bristol is good if you want Jamaican food and an interesting dining experience. Especially at 3am. I don't know why but I imagine Glice has been there and probably caused "a scene".

around my parts, shit, i don't get out enough to know, at the Maryland-Delaware beachs i know tons more cause i always seems to eat out
for Subs and Pizza- Surf's Edge, Ocean Side, and Ken's Bayside both in Fenwick Island DE, Surf's Up in Bethany Beach DE, Billy's Sub Shop and Tommy's Subs in Ocean City MD for Mexican - Cactus Cafe in Fenwick Island , Tequilla Mockingbird in Ocean City for Crabs - Mickey's Crab House in Bethany Beach, Crabcake Factory and Phillips in Ocean City, or just drop a crab pot in the bay and catch your own, although it's slim pickens nowadays for BBQ - all the best are inland, the best overall is Em-ings in Bishopville for Dinner (some with a view) - Mango Mike's in Bethany Beach, Purple Parrot and Dogfish Head (visited by Steve Shelley and Mike Watt some years back) in Rehoboth, Macky's Bayside and Secrets in Ocean City for Ice Cream - Kohr Bros Frozen Custard in Rehoboth, King Kone and Dumsers Dairyland (their food is quite good too) in Ocean City some places that were good or are gone were the Bay Cafe in Fenwick that was bulldozed to make room for condos, and Nick's Original House of Ribs which is still around but is a sad story, I knew Nick and his daughter and used to hang out in the upstairs and eat with him back about over 12-13 years ago, but he got into to deep debt with the mafia, and he was found murdered and i haven't been back to the building since anyways this info is useful to only about 4 people at most |

are you at the beach, you lucky goat? damn damn damn. i am extremely but supebly jealous-- not in a toxic way mind you, i am happy for you-- but damn... i miss that. ever go to assateague island? the state park side is my favorite. sure there are huge horse flies, but it's QUIET and there are no serious crowds, and there's no development or crap like that. give it a try. you'll have to pack your own food though. and get a nice mosquito repellent like this one which is totally natural & the insects hate (prolly you can find it @ the takoma park co-op) aghh.. have fun!! |

not at the moment, but i am looking there if i can't get a job here, i haven't been to assateague in years, my dad used to take his boat and park it right on the beach, and we'd hang out and sometimes see the wild horses in the distance, fenwick is my favorite beachfront, can walk to some sub shops and my cousin has a place up there so i can park close |
