It reminds of the velvet underground and sonic youth of all bands.

I have to say that the quality of the sound is rather bad.I've added some needed treble to it and cut the abrupt ending of the track.

Right, there isn't terribly much that you can do to this track as it seems that that it's ben recorded on very cheap equipment and at not very accurate recording levels.I've added some treble, eliminated some hiss(sounds like it was recorded on a dictaphone to me) and tried to lower its volume a bit.I'll re-post it in a bit.

No problem.I was a bit bugged by it because it is a pretty good piece of music recorded in an awful way.Who is it anyway?

hes from the board too.
Hi, i saw on the SY message board, that your taking guitar peices for a compolation. do they necessarily havew to be "noise"? I've got an eleven minute krautrock peice for solo guitar+looper (sounds like neu! meets glenn branca, kind of). i can send it to you if you are inerested. bu the only problem is the only format i have it on is cassete tape. let me know if thats OK. thanks Elie |

Spotted the Glen Branca influence too.Not original in any way but who needs originality when the quality of the music is that good.I'm impressed(not by the recording but by the music)

Yeah, you can really tell towards the end. Some drums I think would bring it higher, but then it wouldnt qualify for the comp.

The music is good.It qualifies for something.I'd say put it on with its lo-fi charm and pervert the policy of such compilation. It wont do anyone anyone any harm.

Holy shit! thats me!!!
thanks you guys! i know the recording is horrible. i recorded onto a digital four track ut since i dont have the equipment to edit the tracks digitally, i just played them through my amp while a tape recorder with a mike was recording. old school shit. thanks for the kind words, its definatly glenn brance, neu! influenced. im very happy to hear that it might make it onto the comp. |
