he's extremely entertaining, which is the number one thing I look for in an entertainer. (Big Tymers suck.)

They do suck XD, I just love Mannie Fresh's production.
I hate hip hop heads who have no appreciation for the fact that hip-hop, like any other kind of music, can have artists whose only real function is mindless fun.

but to elaborate viewtiful, I really don't care about "good" or "bad." The dude is captivating. I can't help but WANT to HEAR each new tape he puts out. And he's had a string of official mixes over the past year that have been rather phenomenal -- with all brand new songs (not freestyles over the same beats everyone else is jacking) -- and some truly great tracks that get stuck in my head. He's ridiculous and my earz are more than interested in each audible move he's making these days. Good? Bad? Doesn't matter.

mannie is a good producer. But I'm not always thrilled with him. For instance, his lone track on Slim Thug's BOSS OF ALL BOSSES was my LEAST favorite beat on the album.

I have to say I agree.
I have two things of his (a mixtape he did with mediocore mc Yo Gotti, and The State vs. Radric Davis) and I find him strangely captivating.
I mean yeah, he's not Lil Wayne or Ghostface but he's got something that's for sure.

And yeah, Mannie has fallen off as of late. But I love his early Cash Money work.

I can't say I really have any respect for Gucci as an artist, but I do think he has something to offer and enjoy listening to him.

Waka Flocka sucks. I'm thinking Brick Squad sucks mostly.

but yeah, I don't think of Gucci as having the same skills as Wayne or Ghost. But the dude has mastered his delivery, he says unbelievable and hilarious shit, and he drops a ton of fresh material often that is actually quality tracks with original beats instead of throwaway karaoke tracks. For that I have to give a lot of props.
