yeah boat shipping is terrible. And things tend to get damaged more that way. It just sucks cuz theres a lot of Japan imports that are now gonna be a lot more of a pain to get hold of. Oh well. At least there's import places outside of Japan to order from anyway.

marijuana!!!! no, seriously though. Media mail via international delivery can take up to 3 weeks. Slowest slow of the snail mail, it is, it is. Whereas the guitar was shipped via UPS or FedEx I would imagine. |

word. plus I know play-asia is outside of Japan (I think it's in China) and ncsxshop is located in NY actually so there's still some good import shops avaiable. This only mucks up ebay purchases from japan, but a single game should be fine. It's just if you buy a lot, or accessories, or a console.

i had a long day at work and picked this up on the way home. i hooked up my wii and started playing. initially i was only going to play for about 2 hours tops but ended up playing for 5 hours straight. i'm not much of a gamer, really. i got hooked though. i get so tired of seeing the same old call of duty/fps bullshit, it was a breath of fresh air to play this. reminded me of crash bandicoot. this game is pretty amazing. i can't wait until i finish it. remixed DKC tunes: A+ |

How is it like Crash Bandicoot as opposed to DKC? I wanna pick it up when I get a Wii, 'cause I love the Donkey Kong Country series, but the Crash Bandicoot games have never appealed to me.

the Crash games always seemed so stupid to me. That's the thing about PS1, it's got so many amazing games that were little known. But a lot of the flagship games were jackass.

you should definitely get it. the only criticism i have is that the controls are kind of weird. i absolutely hate using the wii remote sideways as a controller. the most uncomfortable way to play a video game. it's getting me pissed off right now just thinking about it. and i really don't know why they didn't make it compatible to the wii SNES controller. it's not really the gameplay that reminded me of crash bandicoot but the art direction and graphics. i'm not a fan of crash bandicoot games. the game certainly does play like an old school DKC game. and the levels are so incredibly fun to play and creative. and they're fucking hard too. it felt like old times. |

The new Donkey Kong Country looks quite good. Will probably pick it up when it's $5 or so. Since not a single member of Rare did anything on the game, there's a good chance it's just a high quality 2D platformer -- one of my favorite genres (and the main reason to get a Wii: all the great 2D platformers on WiiWare).
I've been playing TWINKLE STAR SPRITES It's a competetive shooter/puzzler. and Time Bokan Series: Bokandesuyo |

this is hilarious but I've been sucked into like hour or two long rounds of Super Scrabble for Game Boy for the last few nights. I'm strangely addicted to it.

Okay, I have every Dreamcast game I'd ever want except bangai-O. i've tried like 5 different rips of this fucking game and NONE of them will burn properly. Different websites, different file types (.cdi, .nrg, .bin/.cue.. self boot, non self boot...), and NONE of them wll get the game to play. None! I'm going insane. I need this game!

Does the vertical scroll on your tv fuck up? That's what always happens to me with that one. It's depressing.

The game won't load at all. I put the disc in and it just makes grinding sounds.
If you actually got the game to burn correctly at all... I'll take it off your hands if it's not working for you, since I have a tv that will work with it (I know of the issue you're referring to). But yeah, there's nothing special you had to do to get it to burn? Cuz I've burned so many fucking rips of this game and.. nothing. ANyway, I'm playing ACID Bizarre puzzle game. Also, got this GREAT, underrated game this fucking game got SLAMMED when it came out but upon reappraisal, I've been reading a lot about how it's a masterpiece now. I wouldn't disagree -- imagine a 2.5D Metroid, way before Metroid Prime. That's what it feels like. Good stuff. |
