I didn't like it as much as JJ or Daredevil but it was pretty damn cool.

I read that in the last episode the Gang Starr track You Know My Steez is featured?
I am only on episode 4 though....

Did you guys know that there's an A$AP Mob album scheduled to drop in November? I read this last week, in a current article. But it still seems wrong.. or unlikely. I mean, we've been waiting for this since 2013, and it's always been coming, but never seems to get closer.
Anyone know the deal on this? I'm excited, but cautiously so. I'll believe it when I see it I suppose. |

Why? Was it a negative review? I kinda hate reading reviews too, but I still do it. I hate it when it colors my opinion of something, or makes it impossible for me to "hear" it for myself. I like it when albums that I think deserve good reviews get good reviews, or when albums I'm looking forward to get positive feedback, but I fucking hate it when something is painted in a super negative light. That's what I have trouble with. If an album gets great reviews, it doesn't make me any more likely to not think it sucks. But when an album gets really poor or mediocre reviews from several different sources, I usually don't end up loving the album (unless it's something I spectacular and beyond everyone like Druqks or something). I hate that. |

If it happens I will get it. Not a lot of new hip hop moving me lately. But I am diehard ASAP.

hip hop doesn't shock me, makes my skin crawl or paranoid anymore. I thought the older I got the worse and the more sick excitement I would get from it. not so.
seems so pop now. disappointment. |

Dude-yo. Have you listened to Isaiah Rashad's new album? Or possibly better yet, Danny Brown's Atrocity Exhibition? I think "Lost" is one of my favorite rap tracks of the year. |

it wasn't a negative review, it was just full of music cliches, bullshit, and was boring.

I finally get it. Kanye talks about life on this album.. how there's an ultralight beam that protects us.. he talks about the lights and the waves, and the wolves that surround us.
Kanye is still brilliant. I'm the one who couldn't keep up. |

"Even when somebody go away
The feelings don't really go away That's just the wave" "Couldn't tell you much about the fam though I just showed up for the yams though" This shit is actually relatable and deep as hell. Remember that line from Heard 'Em Say -"people in your life are seasons".. |

When was the last time a pop star as big as Kanye even put out such a brutally honest song as "Real Friends"? *sniff*
I think I'm gonna tear up a bit. |

My head has been spinning all day since TLOP finally hit me. I've been feeling a little high, and I can't remove this stupid smile from my face. Parts of "Waves" and "Highlights" keep playing in my head over and over again.
Last album that made me feel this way.. was probably My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.. |

The lines I used to find dumb and annoying are actually hilarious to me now. Jesus.
I'm gonna buy a physical copy of the album. I didn't think this day would come.. this is all so crazy and overwhelming to me. |

Bruno Mars - 24K Magic video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqyT8IEBkvY
When Tyler rapped about wanting to stab Bruno Mars on "Yonkers", I actually felt his anger. Dude's music was everywhere and always made my ears bleed. He was cheesy, his features on rap songs were the worst, and he sang like a real life Disney movie character. When I heard "Treasure", I was like OK, maybe this guy isn't so bad after all. It was a direct MJ bite, but unlike Drake's "Hold On We're Going On", it was a real good one at that, one that actually required talent as a performer and vocalist. Then I checked out his last album out of curiousity and it wasn't like super great but it was solid. A step in the right direction. With this new song, I'm sold. Bruno found his swag and started embracing his inner blackness to the fullest. Love it. |
