I'm bored stiff with guitars at the moment. Can anyone recommend artificial music made by humans that is cool? If it can sustain home drug-taking it's even better. I'm all yours.

merzbow & richard pinhas - keio line
it's electronic, very different to everything else i've heard from merzbow (i.e. i wouldn't even call it a noise record, it's more like klaus schulze via mego), and probably good with drugs. |

There are 16 Bonkers compilations. I haven't got all of them, but you can get a good idea from some of the early ones (which are bastard difficult to find now, but pretty available online) and maybe numbers 12-15. It's one of those genres where there are only compilations and DJ sets. Anything related to Hardcore Till I Die is worth getting (for instance). For a good starter's overview, Hardcore: the classics 1994-2009 is well worth it, though I wasn't terribly impressed with the Bunter CD - there's plenty of old Helter Skelter-era stuff that's all over the internet that'll give you a better idea of the early days (not that I was out raving when I was 12, you understand). Also, http://www.happyhardcore.com/ has a great online radio thing that's quite often on chez Glice (when I'm not on Radio 3).

The thing is with hardcore, is it'll either click or it won't. With rock music, you can't really dislike Radiohead on the basis that Led Zep aren't very good. But if you don't like this, you probably don't like HHC.

And if you don't like this, just kill yourself. All of you.
