Weird instincts. Why did he threw his feet at the ball?

bayern just beat wolfsburg 2-0. this means they start the weekend 18 points ahead of everybody else.
great goals by mandzucik with a bicycle kick and excellent pass from mueller to robben who fucking nailed it w/ the left foot. must-watch highlights! (the goals anyway, the rest was kinda dull) tomorrow: dortmund/frankfurt, which should be great. but most likely wont be able to catch it. damn! |

England and Chelsea footballer Frank Lampard is to write a series of children's books, publisher Little Brown has announced.
I have a few suggestions in the field Jamie Redknapp and the LITERALLY giant peach Ade Akinbayi and the chocolate factory Alice in Sunderland (In fairness, thats already been done)

fucking shit, atrocious ref in dortmund/frankfurt match threw out schieber. first, it was a yellow card for a non-foul (his foot was high trying to go for a ball but it wasn't a real foul, much less a yellow card kind of foul). then when jumping up for a header his elbow hit a frankfurt player in the nose. the thing is, it wasn't a foul but an unfortunate collission. 2nd yellow card. utter bullshit.
now here is where it gets fucked-- schieber was subbing for lewandoski who is suspended for a red card from last week. i guess someone else can come in as centre forward next week or maybe they'll try a different formation but it's fucked for dortmund. OUCH. still, 2-0 ahead at half-time. -- EDIT: reus hat trick lololol. ended 3-0. another ridiculous expulsion on a frakfurt player after hummels feigned injurty-- this simply because the idiot ref opened the door to such shenanigans early on. atrocious. -- ps HA HAAA HAAAA hilarious flowchart. it's from last year though. still, good fun. |

watching the liverpool attack, i gotta say-- 1) nice to see coutinho up there with suarez. about time they put another man on the attack. what took you so long, brendan rodgers? 2) is tiki taka finally starting to pay for rodgers? that 3rd goal was awesome the way the ball was moved. k gtg OH SHIT 4-0 LOLOLOL |

Yep, great goal! Quote:
Hard to imagine them without Wenger but if I supported Arsenal I'd be desperate for a change at this point. I read that Wenger's pocketed something in the line of £50 million since he last won a trophy - talk about doing a number! Most managers would've been out on their arse long ago. The team just don't play at the level they should anywhere near often enough. Past glories should only get you so far... That said, I think Moyes' style is pretty far removed from the very specific way Arsenal play. I mean, I'm a big fan of Moyes, and Everton are one of my favourite English teams, but Arsenal would be a totally different proposition. Not sure if he'd fit in at that club. |

when i saw being liverpool earlier this season rodgers fired andy carrol cuz he wouldn't adapt. well he loaned him out or something to west ham. and demonyo was ecstatic about it. then liverpool went on to a long string of fails and disappoints. but now that goal was pure tikitaka genius. wondering if after months & months the new system is starting to pay off? yes/no/maybe? i really haven't been following liverpool enough. except last week when they had control & lost (lol). this one? have they finally...? |

I agree it's unlikely but judging by Wenger's tantrum in that press conference the other day, I wouldn't be surprised if he walked at the end of the season.

yes. yes they are. they only get on my balls when they play backwards-- i understand the tactical reason for this but it gets on my balls anyway. podolski's goal was a total defensive fuckup by bayern, but eh, he used to play for bayern too so that's okay. in any case, i have nothing against wenger from what i saw-- arsenal put up a fight, especially in the 2nd half, but they just don't have the players to do more. i saw wenger's interview, i don't think he had anything close to an outburst in french terms-- the french priests in my school were lots crankier and more impatient with stupidity than he was with that journo. of course the press makes their money from this sort of kremlinology, but i think there's nothing to it. |

Yes they are...scrappy goals aside mind Arsenal really did put up a good fight and as thingymajig said especially in the second half. Knew I should've put a bet on at the beginning of the champions league for Munich to win.

Bayern were brilliant, at least in the first half. They did seem to wind down a bit in the second. Overall though Arsenal clearly couldn't compete and Podolski's goal really flattered them. For pure clash of the titans epic spectacle value, I really hope Bayern meet Barcelona in the final.
With the Liverpool thing, I definitely think they're starting to look a bit like a Rodgers side than a Dalglish one. Bringing Sturridge in has definitely helped Suarez. If the season started now I think they'd be strong contenders for the title. |
