He is a ton of bricks. That's the answer. He's a gorilla. Not a man. Daniel Craig, that is. And if I recall, he does kinda lose his shit a bit at the end of Casino Royale, doesn't he? That was a really swell reboot attempt, and they had the bases loaded for an awesome new Bond era with the cliffhanger ending. Then Quantum of Solace had to come along and be a big boring stupid thing, most of which I cannot remember for the life of me. Then Skyfall was good. Then SPECTRE was mostly total crap. This was supposed to be the Bond answer to Nolan's Bat-flicks ... in fact, did you know that Chris Nolan and Christian Bale were originally pursued for the project? I didn't... not until recently. Anyway, turned out to be the most perfectly uneven tertralogy in recent memory. |

I haven't seen it in forever, but that's because I was pretty roundly unimpressed by it. I have never thought of it as Hitchcockian, but maybe you're right. Maybe I need to rewatch. @ SYMBOLS -- Don't read my post in response to tw2113 about this. There be spoilers. Will edit. |

yes, he a gorilla in figure but i know plenty of cage fightning athletes that are now retired for much less ha ha ha. but anyway thanks for the spoiler eradication. much appreciated. as for a "critical" appreciation of the bond reboot-- it seemed overly long-- not just for me but my wife was also watching. went on and on and on... she complained first. i get it now that's supposed to be as epic as la dolce vita, and therefore... lol, no. just way too long for the material. didn't know about the nolan/bale duo. bale as bond? i dont know ha ha ha ha. sounds kinda hilarious. anyway what i really was interested on was vesper's face as she delivers her lines. her lines weren't that great tho. "you're such a man your pinkie finger" haaaa haaaa haaaa haaa. okay it was funny. in a terrible way. like a dirty uncle joke, machismo part and parcel of it all. |

I think they went too serious with the Daniel Craig films. Losing the fun element almost completely. Not to say they should've descended to the pure comedy of stuff like Live and Let Die but if I'm honest I do prefer that campier side of the series.

Forget Paris a couple nights ago, Buffy The Vampire Slayer since then. Tonight I have Angels in the Outfield.
I like some cheese, I'll deal with it

yup I've said it before and I'll say it again. Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while... you just might miss it.

I really can't fault that film, although I weirdly never actually liked Ferris. I'm definitely Team Cameron.
