I used to have a used copy of Maniac Mansion w/ instruction booklet that I bought at "Funco Land" (now GameStop) when I was a youngster. The game was far too difficult for me to comprehend at that age and I traded it back in a heartbeat. Along with ditching my trusted N64 to put towards a PS2, it was one of the biggest mistakes of my video gaming career. |

Maniac Mansion rules. I used to play it when I was 12. Of course, I didnt get far, but I felt like I was some kind of a genius for even trying to figure it out.

Still playing this even though I've beaten it about 3 times on each alignment. Srsly, if you have a Gamecube or Wii and like creepy stuff, you need a copy of this. It can't be more than about $10-15 used.

Mega Man 8 fucking rocked! I loved the clown level so much. And beating the water balloon guy with just the buster. My friend and I played that and X4 all the time. Goddamn. I need to break those out again.

The only X I played was the first one. And I'm a huge oldschool MM fan,so I really wanna pick up the X collection for PS2.

I think they're more fun, but quite a bit easier than the old ones.
I still have never beaten the final boss of any MM game, though. Not even in the X series. I can always beat the eight levels, and just get frustrated at the end. |

Mega Man X was the only MM game I ever beat in its entirety! I've come so close on so many of them. And yet. Why do I still love them?

I just picked up a SEGA Genesis from the local Salvation Army that my girlfriend works at. I grew up a Nintendo fan-boy and never really had much experience with any SEGA system other than the GameGear.
Sadly, I only have one controller and the original NHL game (no, not '94...*sigh*) so far. |

94 was the shiz. I was a pretty equal Sega/Nintendo fanboy back then. It's funny, cuz now I'm so into Sony consoles. The thing is this: Nintendo ORIGINAL games are always incredible (Mario's, Zelda's and so on) but then games that come out on multi-consoles tend to suck on Nintendo (unless we're talking Mortal Kombat 2).

oh it would be an instant buy for me if I own the system.
eternal darkness is such a classic, with a lot of great ideas, + a rich gamelength. typical "alot for the money"- nintendo style |
