Well, now that I'm thinking about it, I can't say I know any indie clubs in Prague ... you can try club 007 in the part of Prague called Strahov and also Club Akropolis in Zizkov (in both of them, there are frequent concerts).

what about some irish dew party in some of the irish pubs in prague?...joking.
pity that this page isn't in english, but still, helps...(4 pages, still not all da clubs listed. in most cases there's link to each club...so you'll know location.) http://www.freemusic.cz/kluby.php?vyber_dle=kraje&idkraje=10&displayFrom=0 by the way, any of jazz clubs in prague is worth to visit. yes, those clubs Slavo mentioned are grand (it's not that far from town. +. with all respect, but public transport is way better then in dublin /at least smth./, you must admit that). I must mention Roxy club (experimental area), which I love (it's not that what it used to be before but..) and it's located in old town. Roxy consist from actual club and "Nod room" (gallery, no lab, theathre, net cafe). www.roxy.cz on the map: http://www.mapy.cz/#x=133085783@y=135963954@z=14@mm=ZP@sa=s@st=s@ssq= roxy@sss=1@ssp=133053312_135960608_133110528_13600 4352 by the way this event looks interesting (I'm just browsing myself, hehe) http://nod.roxy.cz/index.php?dok=01680000000656,det you should not miss a chance to have a lovely czech lager in Ziznivy Pes (means Thirsty Dog) pub, where Nick Cave wrote lyric to his Thirsty Dog tune /take the metro to Staromìtská (Line C) or tram 17 to Právnická fakulta (faculty of law). /. http://www.mapy.cz/#st=s@sss=1@ssq=i...ise%20574738@@ there's so much music history around connected to different places around town. oh yeah. here's gig listing. well, main ones. http://www.radio1.cz/koncerty/ oh yeah. if you need to fix yourself with some good shit, try http://www.usudu.cz/index.php?pid=4 or Fresh Club, Prague 5, Zlíchov places where you can get it ("fom counter like") are changing all the time tho. you should find it easy in da clubs, if you ask nicely. just don't get anything off the street....you know that anyway. pity, I'm not around, coz I'd show yous around. when are you going? I know you're married and all, but what do you think about czech girls? I don't know what credit (i'd say central, but speaking in terms of politics...) eastern european girls have in western europe, aren't they gorgeous tho? |

it's always handy to know few words, but no worries. most of young and middle aged population have basics - vocabulary and spoken english. good few will speak with you fluently, no bother, not saying that so many people from english speaking countries live there, that it's unlikely not to meet one, who wouldn't help you out. |
