Hey...I'm brand new to this board but just had to post about my amazing experience today. I got to sit less than 5 feet away from SY as they played four songs from Rather Ripped during a radio station appearance today. It was incredible - right up there with the time I got to drive Lee to a guitar store in 1993 (I worked at the club they played at) and the time Thurston told the audience at a show in NYC in 1992 or so right before they played "Goo" that "this chick is here tonight" and then pointed at me and said "There she is!" Incredible.
None of my current friends are SY fans so I really needed this outlet! |

No, I'm a lawyer and I once did a free consultation for one of the dj's so I cashed in the favor! Plus, I sweet-talked the front desk guy. I think I might have been the only real fan there! The other people won passes on the radio - I heard one guy say as he was walking out, "They were weird!".

I tried to win tix on CD101 (local radio station) to get in to that. No dice. I did get to see them a few years back @ the Carson Daily Show, and met Thurston a couple of times when I lived in NYC.
