white kross and brother james are two songs that are not easy to sing. you have to tear away your throat each time. these songs must be close to their heart.

In a way, I'm surprised to see White Kross on there, but then in a different light it makes perfect sense, considering how long it's been around and how it's been a frequent stable over the years.

Bull in the Heather has a pretty impressive number of plays, considering that it's the newest song on that list (only 17 years old!) and that they didn't fully tour that record. Of course, it was a staple on the following Washing Machine tour.

I wonder where it will rank when it's all said and done? Third or fourth, maybe?

surprised at no "silver rocket" or "cross the breeze."

i guess i'm so used to both being a staple every time i've seen them. :7P

Those songs took a long, long nap after the 80's.

"silver rocket" was actually on the list initially but i'd fucked up and missed "drunken butterfly" so i had to drop "rocket". "rocket" had 189.

it actually drops off considerably after 'rocket'! it's worth looking at the top 25, things get much more interesting...

Wouldn't have expected the Rather Ripped songs to be quite as high..

Actually I take that back, come to think of it most of the songs on recent albums haven't been played again after that particular tour, apart from the RR songs which got a good few plays on the DDN tour

This is fascinating. Nice work.

Skitzo's my favorite too.

If they've played that 341 times since the late eighties, can you imagine how many times the Stones have played Satisfaction? In the thousands, I'd bet.

Still...

Did they tour more extensively for that album than most others?

one thing to keep in mind is that i have every set list from 1998 through 2010, and most from 94 through 97. i'm sure if you factor in all of the set lists i'm missing from the 80s and early 90s, the top 10 figures would be even higher and some of the newer songs might get bumped out.
