I could really care less, but I'm bored and hungover.
Faith No More? Mr Bungle? Fantomas? Tomahawk? Dillinger Escape plan? Damn fucking polls fucking up.

Hey, I'm a Patton fan, but I will admit, most of his stuff is just pretty odd.
Here are the Patton groups listed above that I like: Faith No More Mr. Bungle Fantomas Tomahawk

When the polls are fixed put me on there for Faith No More. I like Tomahawk a lot too, can't get into the Fantomas at all, and haven't heard very much of Mr. Bungle either. You forgot Peeping Tom also, although never got into that either. I admire his experimentation but that doesn't mean its always listenable.

Very well said. It's hit or miss w/ Patton's projects sometimes.

Wouldn't really consider DEP a Patton project since he only guest vocaled on a 4 song ep of theirs. You should put Peeping Tom in its place if the poll gets fixed. You may as well also list him only (he did 2 solo albums). Also, there was a project he did called Lovage, but I hear it wasn't that great.

I know he was only on the Irony is a Dead Scene EP. If the poll was successful you'd be picking what your favourite of his shit is - which could very well be DEP.

Oh yeah, I've seen several Fantomas live DVD's, & the timing is soo perfect even in their live shows, it's amazing. & as far as "Loveage" goes, I actually found it to be a interesting listen. It kept my interest @ a high, if you consider that a crudential for good music.

From the live stuff of seen of Tomahawk it's really cool. Patton wears a gas-mask with a mic in it for certain songs. Not to mention it has Dwayne from The Jesus Lizard and John Stanier of Helmet and the Mark of Cain.

I've yet to hear live Tomahawk stuff, but from what I've heard of their albums, I can say that the live version of it must be pretty damn good.

Niiicceee, my brother came in with new albums today! This is the first time I even hear of Mike Patton, and he's on this CD in front of me. "John Zorn's ASTRONOMA". I'm going to listen to it tomorrow, the album art looks really promising as well.

ohh and, for future references, mike patton is not groundbreaking at all, he's no innovator; he's mostly a bad yamatsuka eye immitator unless he is singing, he's a better singer than a voice whatever he thinks he is.

peeping tom and the x-ecutioners (or however the hell you say it) are the least favorites i've heard of his. i wouldn't say that he's an eYe impersonator, i'd rather say that i'd love to hear an album with both of them screaming with one another.

I saw Tomahawk live, they were great. And yeah they really play the record quite faithfully. No he's not a god, but Patton has a voice that nobody else can touch. Wheter he's crooning like a lounge singer or screaming like a goddamn banshee. I was just thinking the other day, when the third Tomahawk album will be released, I thought it would be out before the end of 06' but I haven't heard any news.

Agreed. He has alot of range with his voice, he can manipulate his voice to do things others wouldn't even imagine to do. He's also got the balls to do stuff that most don't and wont. I haven't heard any Peeping Tom.

Peeping Tom really shoouldn't be classified w/ the other Patton styled groups. It's more or less just hip-hop beats.
