Well, here it is - very reminiscent of exploitation gems of the '70's and early '80's:

Cool. Nothing will surpass First Blood, though. Never.
Talk about overreacting. |

I like the way how Stallone looks completely embalmed, and the way that the rest of the cast chew thtough the scenery like a phalanx of angry termites. And the violence, oy!

I have a question about Demolition Man.... why would you imprison someone in cryostasis as punishment? Isn't the purpose of incarceration to allow the criminal to reflect on their crimes and understand price of disobeying the law? Freezing someone in cryostasis makes it seem like your sentence lasted an instant...

The trailer for Judge Dredd made the film look decent enough to warrant sitting through.

I liked First Blood, and the Rocky movie with Mr. T in it. But both John Rambo, and Rocky Balboa looked as if they had the capability of frying your brain cells just by watching them. Judging by the John Rambo trailer, it doesn't seem as if Stallone is even trying to deliver a performance. What ever happened to Machine Gun Joe?
Maybe I could understand it if I were fanatical about either series. Maybe. |

If you don't have consciousness during that term, it does seem that way, but you still lose those years of your life, and if you come out of stasis say 30 years later, that would be dramatic, don't you think, especially if you are not going to get those years back. Now suddenly you're old. If you do have consciousness that would be cruel punishment. This was an entertaining movie, Rambo is a good guy fighting tyranny. I think that gets missed in the talk of the First Blood. Its really a story about corrupt cops. |

I stallone ghad only made rocky I and rocky II, and then later made Rocky balboa, it would have been great. I thought the movie did a great job, mrore like the original, in showing character, not just stupid crap.
as far as rambo. first blood is fucking great. rambo II sux watching it now, even though I liked it as a kid. rambo III has some good parts but gets bogged down in heavy handed anti russia jihad. but Rambo, the latest one? even with some hammy supporting roles, the carnage and violence, especially the actual footage of what has been happening in Burma for the last ten years, is fucking brutal, and I liked the insane levels of carnage. HARD R baby!

Haha. Yeah, I rented that in 3rd grade or so after seeing a trailer on some VHS. Marketing teams can be such tricky bastards. |

"1000 soldiers vs Rambo: they don't have a chance, he'll kill them all", the colonel said.
That's all I recall. |
