Sure, everyone talks about Goonies and Stand By Me, but I really really love the Explorers just as much. It has Ethan Hawke and River Phoenix, plus aliens that sing rock and roll songs!

I liked it up until the end, which was SO STUPID. I was the same age as the actors when that came out (give or take), and saw it in the theater in its original release. I thought the ending was stupid then too.
Does anybody else think the fat kid alien looks a little like Andy Kaufman in that movie? |

Oh my god, I fell in love with this movie from the first moment i laid eyes on it. Every boy's ultimate adventure/dream. Ethan Hawke would later reprise the same role, albeit in a more grown-up fashion, in Gattaca.
