Inspired by the sonic phase thread. Someone on the old board loosely grouped SY's records into a chronological series of trilogies that I thought were pretty accurate, although I'm sure there are some arguments for other groupings. But here's how I see it, so which do you think is best? Right now, I myself actually can't decide.

i;ll have to think on it... as there's one favorite album in every part. BMR, evol, goo, WM, nurse... maybe goo.

Even though I don't like EVOL that much I had to go with EVOL/Sister/Daydream Nation.
Murray Street, SN were close behind, but I can't really say because I haven't heard Rather Ripped. |

The "now" era. Not easily, but it's what I find myself listening to the most.

was that me? Ive always found they grouped well in threes or pairs, just in terms of sound, design, theme etc. Ive gone for the latest 3 despite having not heard rather ripped yet.

I like the trilogy cycle theory but It's just damn near impossible for me to say... SY/CIS/BMN was when I first got into them and will always have a special place in my heart... but then again so does E/S/DDN + WM/ATL/NYCG+F what the fuck!
