Here's a pretty good article from the Wire where they talk briefly about their new album that I thought you guys would like to read if you already haven't. It's kind of funny how Isobel talks about people coming up to them and saying how they saw them open up for Mogwai and that they really liked them (Bardo). Well, I was one of those people except for I was telling that to Michael (cool ass guy) after a gig in Pittsburgh a few years back (pictures from this show are actually posted on Hummingbird Mountain http://threelobed.com/bardo/pictureg...25-pittsburgh/ ). I had liked them before I saw them open for Mogwai, but seeing them play at that volume took it to a whole other level. Anyway, there ya go!

It's a toss up between Amanita and Bufo Alvarius Amen 29:15 for me. I really liked On the Ellipse too.....damn it's all good!

i have never understood how mogwai and godspeed got huge while the bardos plugged along semi-oscure. they are one of the great bands of our era, easy.

Bardo are one of my top favorite US bands, and one of my favorite live bands ever. I have been a fan since their first LP, and they continue to enthrall me. My favorites by them are Amanita, Lapsed and Dilate, but I really do love everything they have done. I have seen them A LOT since they first started touring; they have never disappointed me and I never get sick of them.
