Meet you, seem cool, give you their number, yet have a steady boyfriend? I don't get it. Further, they never tell you this. You have to figure it out. Your planet's rules don't make sense.

maybe they actually just want a friend?
what do i know, though, i've gone through more potential-baby-mama drama in the past week than i can really handle.

It happened to me a few times to spot a young and pretty girl in a bar , looking sooo lonely , fragile , lost in a tough world , in desperate need of affection and protection...
And then , one hour later , the boyfriend arrives . So if some guy has the idea to engage the conversation , I guess it would end like this: ... oh ! it's my boyfriend . Well , it was a pleasure to chat with you , so long , see you . ( fuck off ! ) Once I saw a girl who was probably really lonely , fragile etc , but maybe I didn't stay long enough. |

Girls are very rarely ever seriously "taken".

Really? This is a disturbing concept, if I were ever to land a female. Is trust impossible or foolish? I would be fine if, after a good conversation, she were to say that she has a boyfreind, but is mature enough and her partner is secure enough that she is free to develop plutonic relationships. In fact, because she and I get along, it's possible that me and the boyfreind could get along too. Great! Honesty! I love it. It's the duplicitous game playing that I hate (I hate both the player and the game equally, which is my right). |

there are different camps to this
girls with boyfriends they love/really like are not going to give you their number girls with boyfriends they have just because they have not found one they like better will give you their number. (many girls feel they cannot be single even if the guy they're seeing sucks) Girls who have boyfriends/husbands but look for action on the side for whatever reason will give you their number. none of these means they actually LIKE YOU

At the risk of sounding like a cunt... let's just stop a moment there to soak up the irony... at the risk of sounding like a cunt. Great isn't it?
Anyway. At the risk of sounding like a cunt you can either deal with it or fail to chat to girls again. It's hard, you're a chap, all chaps are horny, all 'lady-killers' are actually pricks, very rarely will a girl come and chat to the shy-looking chap. However, the important thing to remember - if they are giving you their number they may want a friend. As such, they will doubtless have non-attached female friends, who may be hotter. Having women/ girls who are 'friends' is a good thing - you have minge-in-potentialus and you're not hanging round with guys (shittest way to get laid ever). They may also want to jump ship with boyfriend. Get in there etc. They may be a psychopath. Sleep with them. Psychos are the best in bed. It's all about looking at potential gain, not immediate gain. EDIT: Ladies, you know I'm only joking right? You still love me baby, yeah? You know I ain't like those other guys. Etc.

what glice said is all true .
i dont find it so much disturbing that girls would give their phone number to a guy if she has a boyfriend, but more disturbed at the concept that if anyone is in a relationship , its NOT ok to interact with or develop relationships with anyone of a sex of their preferred interest . in a relationship ? no friends for you ! you're done ! that would be horrible . THAT would make a girl feel like she has to be sneaky just to fulfill the natural desire to hang with another person . why is there guilt in the first place ? its not necessarily becuase she intends on fuckign the guy . its because people are so uptight about relationships . its lame whoever said that they just walk away if a girl says they have a boyfriend . you cant appreciate a girl as just a friend ? you only hang out with guys ? what is it ? i guess perhaps you've been there before and got mixed up in a stupid web of lies . but still . i can accept that most people only ever interact because they find the other person somewhat attractive sexually but we still do have the ability to choose what kind of relationships we have . we dont have to all just be about pressing our genitals against eachother and rubbing hard . |
