buy nothing day? is that this friday? i am unfamiliar with such terms.
if so, i plan on going christmas shopping with my mom + other family members and helping my mom get a christmas tree and decorating it and the evening will be spent lying in bed drinking whiskey with mr cantankerous.

Ive been getting the emails about this since i was 15, every year.
I have about 100 Buy Nothing Days a year, i have done since before i knew about Buy Nothing Day, and after.
If it makes you feel good, go for it, im not saying it makes you a prick if you do it, i just dont think im in a position to say what its like to stop buying things on impulse

i bought a marshmallow thing at the german christmas market
i wandered around the city with a friend
i bought dinner
i came home
i am now making a little comic book for my book making workshop, its also going to be a christmas present for a friend.
