Anyone here into Burning Star Core or anything C. Spencer Yeh related?
Ive recently started listening to various mp3's on websites and thought they were pretty good, but im considering buying one of his records. Has anyone got any recommendations? |

Was this the japanese guy who plays the violin? If so, I saw him at last yeears frieze festival and quite enjoyed myself! The other bands were rubbish though...I met him backstage and he was so cool!

he's a great violin player but i don't like his electronics or vocal stuff, why bother dicking about with a microphone when you can play violin like a maniac? it just seems like rubbish studenty self-indulgent performance art.

I dunno, I've seen him twice and felt underwhelmed on both occasions. I've not heard his recorded output, but I would imagine that hearing his stuff on CD/LP would work better than live, simply because he doesn't come across as truly energetic or passionate in the flesh. Also, on both occasions, there was much laptop twiddling going on, which may have had something to do with it.
