So today was the day Eternal got the official release. We also got a new Placebo and Dirty Projectors album which isn't too shabby either. I want to know what the best week ever was for official releases. Enlighten me.

Placebo? Something tells me I wouldn't be including them as a standout in any "best release week ever." I do like the Dirty Projectors album, funnily enough. They're trying to be Beyonce on that one single.

Didn't say today was the best release week ever. Just looked and saw what got released, but there has to be something that sticks out in history as a great release week, no?

It's a little known fact that I used to have a bit of a crush on Brian Molko. Shame that his music has been consistently bleedin' useless. I mean, he sounds like he's constantly bunged up with a cold. Give that God-botherer a Vicks Sinex, for crying out loud.

I love placebo but even with pain in my heart I must say their newest is a gaint let down. It sounds empty, hollow and I heard it all before a million times.

??? I mean sure, the last two were varying degrees of shitty, but I think that Black Star and Black On Both Sides should be sufficient to cut the guy a little slack. I haven't heard the new one yet, but I'll always check out what Mos is up to sooner later.

As much as I enjoy the first 2 (and 4th) Placebo albums, everything else they've done has been complete shit...

My main problem with Placebo is that they're overplayed. They have some tunes I like, but they're played so much everywhere that no matter what you do you can't avoid them and they just become boring. I used to like The Bitter End for instance, but too much is too much.
Plus the fact their last albums suck. And, I'm not ashamed to say it, but I have the same problem with Coldplay. I know all of you think they're the most worthless band ever and all that, but I still think their two first albums had some neat tunes, but I've heard them so much that I can't stand them anymore. |

yeah those first 2 coldplay albums are ok. sometimes i think that if chris martin was a low profile celeb and media didnt like/aired em much id feel much more comfortable listening to their music. i know, sounds odd.
