This band doesnt seem to be that well known and its a shame. They sound like lo-fi catchy rock. I love their debut record More Parts Per Million so many good songs on it. I think i remember hearing it was recorded in a kitchen, but i could be wrong.
I heard the new single "a pillar of salt" from the new record and really enjoyed it. It sounds like the thermals just with a little cleaner production but still tons of energy. For those who dont know the thermals i reccomend downloading these songs: No Culture Icons I Know The Pattern Brace and Break Its ONly Trivia For those who do know them, whats your favorite record? Have u heard the new one?

i saw them open for sleater-kinney a few years ago & they were pretty good
(was is s-k? i forget) then i saw they released a record. not sure. i thought they were more famous already. good bass, if i recall. though all songs were more or less alike (often the case with new bands). good fun though. simple songs, but they rocked. |
