Taking a gamble here. i certainly don't want to piss anyone off, that's for sure but you may be interested...

I'm Bruce and I am contacting you on behalf of HMV and I am inviting you to become an early member of www.getcloserbeta.com – a huge new website where members can share and feed their music and film passions, and actively edit the site itself.

am i the only person who finds it annoying when people sign up for a messageboard just to promote themselves or their website? Plus its not like HMV are a small company. This is a place for people to discuss things not a marketplace. Ive already sent "Bruce" a PM telling him i dont like this practice and if you agree with me i'd do the same rather than replying to this thread.

And i dont want this to turn into a debate on the subject, if you do; start another thread and let this shit die.
