Hototogisu is the ecstatic metal duo of Leeds’ Matthew Bower (Skullflower, Sunroof!, Total, etc) and NYC’s Marcia Bassett (Double Leopards, GHQ, Zaimph). Nerve shatteringly heavy drones and a total purging of the nervous system in iron-clad movements, populated by machine gun guitar thrash, rib-throbbing microphone feedback and orchestras of alarm codes - a sensory blitzkreig of the extremist kind.

Ashtray Navigations is Phil Todd’s junkyard aesthetic focusing around an acute misinterpretation of Hindu Classical Music common to many teenage guitar-lashers of his deluded generation. Check out the essential triple LP just released on Smokers Gifts and the forthcoming double LP on Thurston Moore’s Ecstatic Peace label. This show a trio with Mel Delaney (Ocelocelot) and Bill Kouligas (Family Battle Snake).

Inseminoid is the synth horror soundtrack duo of Mutant Ape - Leeds based leader of filth administration Turgid Animal - and Culver - Newcastle avant experimentalist who participated in the huge Free Noise tour last year (with Evan Parker, C Spencer Yeh, John Wiese, etc) and runs the incredible label Matching Head. Recently toured with American bruisers Bloody Minded.

Helhesten (formerly On Fire) are a trio of clarinet, viola/violin, tapes and voices. Small sound droners from chora / towering breaker dudes. Forthcoming LP about to drop on Upset the Rhythm’s label arm.

active since 1991. Phil Todd's junkyard aesthetic focuses around an acute

but often incorporates extended droning and atonal extrapolations.
