I reckon Steve's the kind of caring dude who tries to do the right thing and is environmentally aware. That means that individually wrapped things are out due to excessive packaging. He also strikes me as a sensible kind of guy, who doesn't stuff his face with sweets - he'll eat them gradually and make them last. But he doesn't want stuff to go off, or sticky icky wicky, from being left uneaten for a while, so he demands a sweet that'll keep fresh for a bit. Looking at all three of those requirements I have to say that if I know Steve like I think I know Steve, which is not at all, it'll be aniseed balls.

Oh I don't know. I can just imagine Steve popping into my local corner shop and asking for "a bag of humbugs please mister". And the kind old shopkeeper would give him a pat on the head and tell him not to eat them all at once. And Steve would hand over his pennies and run off home, wiping the snot from his nose with his shirt sleeve. |

He is, if you look at him, clearly only 12 or so. And every 12 year old loves Werthers Original, especially if given to him by his (worryingly pederastic) grandfather. So Werther Originals I say, although I think he might like Humbugs and Lemon Bonbons.

I went with humbugs. I remember one time my friend and I went to a deppaneur and there was a box of candy called "niggers", and they were people shaped black liquorice candy

A kindly fellow such as Steve would go for Swedish Fish, preferably the green ones. He bought the 'Aqua Fun' pack once but was sad when he ate a dolphin-shaped one. |

to be frank, i don't think steve eats any of those english sweets with weird names
he's been spotted in dunkin donuts, on the other hand so i'm going to blame his portly figure on jelly donuts or whatever these shits are called: |
