y'all drink Scotch? What kind do you like?
I usually keep a bottle of Johnny Walker Red stocked in the bar for a cheaper choice. I'm pretty sure I still have a bottle of Black around that I don't touch as often. I've got a bottle of Lagavulin 15 that I usually try to keep for more 'special occasions.' I was gifted a bottle of Glenmorangie 10 that I find quite smooth. I'm blanking out at the moment... I feel like I might have another bottle or two that I'm not remembering. But but but I'm curious what others like. I try to keep a small selection on hand as above of different kinds of Scotch for different tastes.

I like Laphroaig but it's got a slightly medicinal taste that people either like or they don't.

I always liked Glenfiddich. Unfortunately I don't really know how it compares to other brands because I am not a regular scotch whiskey drinker. I stopped drinking spirits and wines a couple of years ago. A few months ago a friend bought me a bottle of tequila, which I had never tasted before, and decided to open it while I had people round for dinner. Best drink I had in years. I'm still not going back to the heavy stuff though. A few Stellas or some Guinness if I am craving something fancy.

what the heck is Monkey Shoulder? I feel like that's something that you'd pick up because of the name on the bottle. Like, I kind of want the Ron Burgundy Scotch just as a 'conversation piece' when we have company.

Macallan
Balvenie Dalmore Glenfiddich 15yo is fine (12yo as well, a bit too fruity though) Bruichladdich also Japanese ones are good - I remember buying some basic Suntory in Tokyo and being amazed how good it was

I picked up some Chivaz Regal which is a really light and smooth blend. Digging it.
Also picked up some Famous Grouse Smoky Black which is decent. Need to get back to some single malt tho.

I prefer Irish and Japanese whiskies. Scotch gives me rocket fulled heartburn.

yeah thanks for the heads up man. A man can't afford to always keep Lagavulin in the house haha.
