It has not been this bad in a long time. Lately it is always due to pain, but tonight fuck knows. Over tired and anxious and etc etc.

Do you keep the lights on for a long period of time before you go to sleep? I find artificial lights to be a bitch when it comes to insomnia. That and heat.

I'm old. I go to bed early and wake up even earlier (about the time the cat says "wake up").
I would like less sleep, but there's not much else to do. grilgun never sleeps. |

Pfft! Tell me about it. I seem to be on a two hour bathroom schedule. And puppy dog is very insistent that it is time to wander the neighborhood. I don't know what I'm going to do when (if?) I ever get a job and can't nap through the day.

I've had insomnia a few times. It's maddening. Your brain will NOT shut down.
But now I like to sleep. If I were an animal I'd hibernate. |

Do you really have insomnia or you just have trouble sleeping?
Strangely there is a difference.

in the past insomnia, at the moment trouble sleeping
Just hoping that it doesn't get worse and stay this way. My body is already exhausted enough. Quote:

I find it curious, but I have to concur with the twat above.
This thread is full of unexpected consensus.

which one of them? i spot a few. anyway, i love a good night of sleeplessness-- the fun! i've never seen insomnia as a curse-- on the contrary, night is the best time of day. i only wish i lived in a 24-hour city where i could go to a restaurant at 4am and read a fresh newspaper (fresh newspaper! the memories!) while wired on my own scrambled brains. i used to live around the corner from this french place in DC, au pied the cochon, where you could get fresh oysters at 6am, or maybe it was 11am and it seemed like dawn to me, but still, the pleasure, the pleasure... |

I can't fall asleep partly because of the noise and vibrations coming from the restaurants Spice Cove and Souen underneath me. It gets me so aggravated then it takes an hour or two to unwind after midnight when they finally shut them down. By Friday, when I can sleep in on Sat, I'm a wreck. Well, if you hear about me going nutty some night, you'll uinderstand, I tried to work within the system. But as expected, the Bloomberg system is shit.
