the buddy holly video is the first hauntology. someone tell mark fisher.

anyone noticed the lyrics? the first verse is about black people harassing us. then the rest is ironic post modern white stuff. and the video is all white people back in the pre civil rights 1950s in a diner with all white people.

As for anybody else, don't listen to it. Being in LA and from LA, well, we got a lot of Weezer around. I think of it as less offensive than say Greenday or Blink 182 BUT only slightly less.

Pinkerton b-sides are great. the first Rentals album was the shit until i heard Stereolab.

all in all, Harvard was the last real claim for greatness for rivers.

mmmm, Flipper's cover of "Hash Pipe" is off the chain. it's pretty raunchy.

Pavement with gloss is what they are. fuck em! it's pop music so it's pop music. enjoy somewhat.

I was getting my haircut recently, and commercial radio in the shop was tormenting me as I waited. After a particularly bothersome song, the rockin DJ revealed that it was Weezer. I have heard a Weezer song afterall.
