I saw that electronic music documentary 'Modulations' when it was in theaters many years ago and I recall there being a shot of Lee with a guitar that appeared to have a turntable mounted on the bottom end(where the pickups are I guess?), and was wondering if their are any recordings of him using this instrument or if anyone knows anything about this device whether it's something he put together etc? I'm not a musician or anything, just curious to know. Thanks.

I have to claim ignorance on this one as well (story of my life).
So, I, too would love to hear more. |

I know nothing of it, but it does indeed sound interesting. I'd love to see more about it

Well according to IMDB the doc I saw came out in 1998 so this memory is over 10 years old, but the pics some of you have posted don't seem to recall what I remember. It I think was an average looking guitar with possibly a 45 record size turntable if not a 33 size one mounted at it's base(or whatever it is known as). More akin to that square 'Panasonic' one shown above but with the turntable off to the side and not under the strings. By the way the neck on that one seems like it would prevent the turntable from spinning doesn't it? Anyways I'm at least positive that it was Lee who was wielding the mutant instrument. Thanks for all your input.
