Best Stooges album hands down. I mean Loose, T.V. Eye, 1970, Fun House, c'mon! Their first album has some pretty good songs on it like I Wanna Be Your Dog, but this album totally captures the raw energy and greatness that is The Stooges.

I dig Fun House, but Raw Power is the ultimate Stooges album to me.

Since they remastered it, I prefer Raw Power now too. Not to take anything away from Fun House though.

Fun house is alright. Nothing compared to the weirdness though. And by that I mean I haven't heard the weirdness. And by that I mean Funhouse is great

Excellent album. The reissue on Sundazed LP is super-fine, too.

Aye, this album tis genius. Personally, I still go for the first one, as it's the first I heard, and I'd listened to it a lot before Funhouse fell into my lap.

Polished? Oh my, that's one of the most blown out records of all time, recording wise. It wasn't recorded the right way, or i should say Iggy wanted more and more distortion on the whole thing. it was completely in the red, unpolished. on a side note, I read Iggy biography, Open up and Bleed..recommend it highly..

What I mean by that is the playing and singing seems to perfect or too planned out compared to the playing on Fun House. |

Don't mind me, i'm just full of Iggy facts right now after reading the biography. haha.. I think Fun House was their best overall. That was their prime too. Raw Power changed up the lineup and had Straight James Williamson on guitar. It's great, if for only two songs, cuz i really don't even listen to the rest of it..but Search and Destroy and Gimme Danger are just outrageous, the cream of the crop..
