:Edit: Fuck, wrong forum. I'm so used to being in Non-Sonics. :Edit:
I'm pretty new to whiskey. I've tried a few different whiskeys, but I don't know too much. I got a bunch of old 1/10th pint bottles, mostly of scotches, and I've been trying them one by one. Johnny Walker is good, Chivas Regal is good, J+B's is good. There are slight differences, and I think the J+B's might be the best one, but they all sort of taste the same to me. Perhaps I'm wrong, but there isn't as much variation from one whiskey to another as there is with beer, is there? The main difference seems to be between bad whiskey and good whiskey. I've noticed the same with vodka. |

I drink Early Times because that was Charles Willeford's favorite. but I rarely drink whiskey, it really makes me crazy. Ken Bruen's characters are always drinking Jamesons.
I'd like to learn more about single malts etc. It seems so civilized. |

I'm quite the fan of Jameson but I can enjoy a J&B too.

Bourbon tastes different from Rye . Bourbon is....smoother, sweeter, and warmer . Rye is abrasive as fuck . And sour !
I dont know about those scotch whiskeys (like jamesons ). I hated scotch whenever I've tried it so I havent bothered . Wild Turkey, a bourbon , is my favorite. |

All.....but no, I had a bottle of Beam every weekend of high school. This was when you'd get change back from a ten on a fifth.
Damn, now you guys got me thinkin' about whiskey. Booker Noe knows.
