I feel like I'm not hearing enough modern post-punk guitar bands (for lack of a better phrase). I've been listening to a lot of A Frames lately and want more. What are some standout bands this decade?

You're right dude, it's totally time for progression in music, I'm gonna smash all my guitars and only listen to Animal Collective.

A-Frames rule! Never considered them "post-punk", though.
Post punk is most of the stuff on Dischord, most of the stuff on No Idea Records... Lots of good sorta-post/sorta-garage rock stuff out there, like Hot Snakes, Beehive and the Barracudas, maybe even Coachwhips (who are noise rock/garage rock but kinda fall into post-punk in a way). I dunno. |

when i think of post punk most of the bands that spring to mind were on rough trade in the late 70's/early 80's, groups such as scritti polliti, the fall, kleenex, essential logic, the pop group, subway sect etc. |

See, I dunno if I'd consider Cheveu or Blank Dogs "post punk" (definitely wouldn't consider HOME BLITZ post..), but yeah check them out!

Blank Dogs is cleaning his (Mike Sniper's) act with all the more recent stuff. The earlier releases were more Chrome-like.
