Alec MacKaye is in a new band called Hammered Hulls with Mary Timony (Ex Hex), Chris Wilson (Ted Leo & the Pharmacists), and Mark Cisneros (Des Demonas). They have performed a handful of shows in D.C. as well as a short tour of the East Coast. You can find them online here.
