no anticdote. My first job was construction on an old house in Augusta, GA.
Interesting little fact, the house was a mile away from th Augusta National Golf Course. You know, where they play the Masters golf tournament.

im going around getting applications this week. subway, mcdonalds, dairy queen, grocery stores... the usual.
like two years ago i worked at record store, i only got store credit for doing shit around the place. the owner is a cheap ass, its cause he is russian, russians always try and save money. so he didnt pay me, i got store credit that i could only use on used items and not new. he was a cool guy though and it was fun

I mowed lawns.
I was a carpentry assistant. I worked at Burger King. I worked at a Pet Shop. Now I work at Subway. Subway is by far the best.

HAH HAH CMON... -- on a separate note... because i was under the pernicious influence of the "starving artist" myth, i've had a lot of shitjobs in my day, though they were all been instructive. dishwasher, commercial fisherman, waiter (waiter was the worse), construction worker, store clerk, etc-- i got so many cos never lasted long in any of them-- it was a way to get by while figuring out i hate crippling poverty. or maybe i was just trying to escape my middle-class upbringing |

I worked in a factory making small parts for airplanes, how I long for that job, I don't have to deal with stupid costco customers, but the pay is fine so I can't complain as much.

i worked making coffee which was ok for a while but one of the managers was a bitch who is the only person who has ever hated me for no reason, and it got really busy sometimes.
One customer complained that "its not very appealing being made coffee by someone who looks so scruffy". I quit as I was moving to Western Sydney for University and I got the best job ever in an independent record store. I think I got it cause I was wearing a Funhouse shirt when I asked if any jobs were available.

I worked at Wendy's as my first job. I toasted buns, then worked salad bar and then up to fries. I worked the drive thru register too. Then I quit. It sucked.
