Coincidentally, I've just been watching a programme about The Arthur Freed Unit.

I have this shirt
the dude at the shop gave me, and I like it, so I wear it, but I dont really represent Killing Joke, they're alright, but I like that picture. so anyways, I was wearing this, and this girl I know from the bus was like "oh thats Fred Astaire" and begins to tell me all about this dude and the old movies, I was tripped out how into that shit she was. its actually pretty lame!

she was kinda hot, but see, she was a little to into that shit, and it was really kind of lame, plus I had actually known her for years from middle and highschool, and so I know her to be a little to out there even for me, so I just couldn't go for it. however, I did learn about who it was on my shirt, vaguely.

it was not so much a matter of liking as much as the degree of liking.

more then likely, but which dead dude are you referring to in particular? Most of the people living and deceased that I am associated with tend to wear what even I call a "silly hat" and so you are honestly going to have to be more specific.. "thats the strangest man I've seen, thats because he's a Rastaman.." bunny wailer

Some people are simply huge classic film buffs. I could blab on and on about the old films I like.
It's no different than being obsessed with music. |

i guess i cant understand where you are coming from cause i get pretty obssesive about the things that i like...
this chick that was obssesed with orson welles once hit on me. unfortunatly she did not look good at all. its really a bummer because a chick that likes orson is a pretty big turn on. though if she told me how much she likes joseph cotton i would have gone with her no matter what she looked like

well, lets go down the list: Haile Selassie? check. rasta culture? check! Ethiopians? check! I think I covered it! Quote:
there is actually a grand canyon gap of a difference, I would think of someone obsessed with really obscure music from a really lame era equally odd.

obsessing with crappy music from a lame era does not equate to obsessing with great movies from a golden era.
