Amazing that it's from 1949. Jack Smith must've had a eureka moment seeing that.
There's a version going around with this really evil African tribal music on it. I think it's from King Kong. I love the songs on the original but this other soundtrack really changes the whole mood of it. Not necessarily better but definitely different. Indescribable really. Far more intense. Scary. More like a ritual. If I ever see it on youtube I'll link it. It'a a real must see. |
