who the hell is CAN and why did you find it so necessary to put 846 letters in your username?

Tago Mago, Ege Bamyasi, Monster Movie, Delay 1968.
Impossible to choose, but those are my top 4. Cantankerous, you would be wise to investigate. |

ege bamyasi is the only one i've heard, i love it so much that it kind of prevented me from wanting to buy more, because i never got tired of putting it on.

Tago Mago is better I think, you should get that one for sure. I only have those and have heard Monster Movie and Future Days but wasn't so keen on them.
What are the remasters like though? I have the remastered Ege Bamyasi and it sounds great but I didn't have the original so couldn't compare. I have a non-remastered Tago Mago and wondered if the sound is that much better. |

I can't believe I forgot to mention the essential "Soundtracks" album!
That has several of their greatest tracks on it, like Mother Sky. |

I don't suppose I need to tell you after listening to that tune that their original singer (American Malcolm Mooney) had some mental health issues.

if u asked me 3 years ago I would definately suggest tago mago as well. Soundtracks is OK not better than monster movie though. Anyway, Ege Bamyasi was one of the midnite re-discoveries.

my favourite is Ege Bamyasi... and after that comes Tago Mago and Future Days...
i remember having some issues with Tago Mago at first, but then liking it each time better. in fact, i should listen to it again to see if it has not topped Ege Bamyasi now. Mushroom is such an amazing song. |
