Im more interested in the John Brack exhibit because I love his work, and I'm back in Melbourne just before it finishes. When is the dali one on until? I was really sad that I missed out on the Bill Viola piece on show.. and hoping it will be there when I get back but I doubt it. You should check it out if you're going along to NGV anyways.

The John Brack one looks pretty sick I might check that out also. Tis the same with the Viola one.

Oh nice, I'll be back in Melbourne then.
John Brack works are far more amazing in person than any replication.. yes it is the same with 90% of paintings but.. for me they especially are mind blowing in person, yet quite cold in any replication. The last time I saw his work (aside from the few permanent pieces held at ngv) was in an exhibition in Canberra in 99 just after he died. The Bill Viola is definately something to see if you have the chance, he is one of the most prominent figures in video art, if that genre interests you at all.
