Some dick from the USA sent me vol. 2 (which I already had) instead of the first one. So i'm selling it and it's still sealed. Just thought some lurkers might be interested. |

Hmm that's hard to say. Vol 1 had some fucking good songs (Xtal, Schottkey 7th Path) but also had some dated songs (Green Calx, We are the Music Makers). Selected Ambient Works 2 is very different but sounds much much less 80's.

Volume 2 is super minimal.
I used to listen to that in the morning when I delivered for a bakery and had to get up at 4:00 AM. I used to have that on brown vinyl, 3xLP. I sold it for a lot of money later on. |

I always thought that RDJ album had some really weak songs mixed in with some of his greatest. Like 4, Carn Marth, To Cure A Weakling Child and Girl Boy song are easily in my top 10 Rich songs, whereas Cornish Acid, Goon Gumpas and Fingerbib just don't really go anywhere.
That's why I Care Because You Do is my favourite Aphex Album, because it's his most consistant. Alberto Balsalm was recently voted best Aphex song by fans on his message board. |
