Disorder are pretty sloppy, but I don't know if they're "hardcore" exactly.

Not necessarily, depending how you define "sloppy", I think many of them were quite tight sounding bands. In their own way... the Thrown Ups, early cows, that hedonists 7" (which sucked), some Halo of Flies, some Hammerhead could qualify though. Not hardcore in the traditional sense though, I guess. I see they've updated their website. |

that's what i meant, plus lubricated goat, some janitor joe, etc. that's why i said "80%" (and should have included the word "early" too), the other 20% being helmet, unsane, today is the day. if you listen to these bands they are kinda dealing with hardcore structures in non-hardcore styles of playing. at least, that's my appreciation. |

Oh well, in that case the Action Swingers too. they veer more towards a punk sound than hardcore, but elements of it are totally there. And they sound fucked up. Most representative song: Miserable Life.

Not sure if he was hardcore or punk but GG Allin got rather 'sloppy' at times.

Hammerhead were insane tight. It only sounds like a blur because Paul plays so fast.
Paul is now the guitarist in the new lineup of Heroine Sheiks w/Shannon from Cows. There is a former Janitor Joe'r in Thunderbolt Pagoda, and he plays precision-tight too. His other band, Build My Gallows High, are incredibly precise. Flipper and Germs spring to mind, but probably too obvious for Mr T&B. |

thanks for the suggestions people, i'll look into them, what i'm looking for is something that sounds like fang or flipper doing a cover version of a song from the meat puppets first album while playing as fast as deep wound, or something. so fast sloppy, not slow sloppy.

I think if Nirvana had wanted to they could have been the world's greatest slop-rock band. Beeswax, Mexican Seafood and Hairspray Queen on Incesticide are some of the sloppiest slops that ever did slop.
