very excellent show, the sound seemed better then last year when they played with yeah yeah yeahs, Cross the Breeze slayed all
extremely solid set, no real stumble at any point also great meeting Magic Wheel Memory and Amy Vega for the first time, and Sonic Kurt again, not sure if he posts here anymore but great to see he moved out of Illinois to live in NYC |

I did fucking cry. All the songs were dead on, even total trash which i wasn't expecting much from. Now it's back to the pool for TV On the Radio! Thank you SY, thank you.

yeah, they nailed every single song hardcore. I kind of thought that Kim looked really bored during Rain King, but she was probably tired or something. She totally rocked when she used a drumstick on her bass during "The Wonder", though. Thurston was incredible, and Lee was smiling most of the time; I like how his kid came out right before the first encore. I'm pretty sure that was his kid because I went to Kim's art gallery and Lee was there with kids that looked about the same age. Everyone's vocals were totally on too. Sorry about the random jumble that is this post!

steve shelley had a huge grin on his face most of the show, like it was the best time of his life. from where i was the sound was pristine. lee came to the edge of the stage during incinerate if i remember right and looked real happy. it was a blast. it was also the youngest crowd ive ever seen for sy, half the people seemed about 16. at least up by the stage.
here is the set list http: tape still attached, haha sorry im not sure how to make it appear in this window. http://s129.photobucket.com/albums/p...t=IMG_1126.jpg thurston: http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...z/IMG_1124.jpg |

Great to meet you guys too! Not too many of my friends like Sonic Youth, so it's always great to meet other fans. One part of the show that was pretty funny was some guy next to us turning Providence into a sing-along! I also loved that Lee inserted the year "1922" into the ending of Hey Joni. |
