I need to watch it again. Hopefully my hatred of phillip glass will not let me have a biased opinion.

The movies are OK, but I prefer Reich and Adams to Glass.

I watched it for an avant-garde music class...
I dunno. I guess as far as "film" goes it was cool. But i found it difficult to sit through. |

i thought it was some of the best stoner-without-help-of-drugs movies i've ever seen.
i don't know which one is, but the one that ends with the challenger exploding is fucking jaw dropping i forgot the phillip glass association, actually; and at the time, i han't even heard any of glass' music |

I like these films quite a bit. I saw Powaqqatisi and Naqoyqatsi on a massive screen in a opera house type place with the live Phillip Glass orchestra going on. That was pretty good apart from the fact that the last film in the trilogy is absolutely, utterly awful.

I find many people dont like Phillip Glass, I suppose his music does take a while to grow on you, the music in Koyaanqutsi can become quite annoying, however in Powaqqatsi most of his composions are really beautiful! LOL Imagine what it would have been like if Steve Reich wrote the score!!! |

Yes and yep. "Lives Out of Balance" I think I watched this back in 1990. And then it played on cable a year or two ago and I caught some of it again, usually opting to mute the Glass and put on other music...like Sonic Youth! |

I've seen it with the score being performed live on a rooftop. I didn't think much of it. |

I've seen Koyaanisquatsi. Too slow for me, wasn't able to watch it till the end.

I liked them, but they're quite depressing at certain moments.
