Tom Carter (Oakland, CA) — guitar, lap steel guitar
Christina Carter (Northampton, MA) — guitar, voice
Tetuzi Akiyama (Tokyo, JAPAN) — acoustic guitar
Juan Garcia (originally from Monterrey, MEXICO) - double bass

The concert is timed so that the first set will coordinate with the sunset.
The evening will begin with Tetuzi Akiyama and Juan Garcia performing to James Turrell's "Skyspace." In the second set, Charalambides will perform to James Turrell's "Night Piece."

they are playing and performing at Houston's Quaker meeting house, designed by artist James Turrlee, who is also a quaker.

damn you all over again. i only got into them about two months ago but am completely obsessed. they're playing in nyc in june and still trying to figure out a way to go.

Charalambides was also the surname of a costumer at the record shop in Houston where Tom and Christina Carter worked in the early 90's. That's where they got the name from.

Did anyone see them playing with Thurston at SXSW by the way?
