everything is an imitation of something already done. has every song already been written? everytime i hear a pop song its nothing new; a 4/4 or other basic beat, a simple chord progression, some cliche lyrics, processed manufactured crap to be sold to the youth. the underground isnt much different. there've been underground bands before and they all used the same shit the new kids do. jazz is jazz, rap is rap. everything is a product; food, water, happiness, medicine, transportation, animal life, fake love, advice, art, etc. i wouldnt be surprised if they start selling clean air in the future. is this the pinnacle of society? we drive cars. we go to work to jobs we hate. we shop at various stores. we go out and drink or do drugs to knowingly or unknowingly forget that life sucks. we talk about stupidass shit like tv or some commodity we want or just got. we pass our spare time with meaningless activites/hobbies. weve done this for around a century. this is what we do. we are content with this. WE ARE DIVIDED. is this the pinnacle? everything does fall eventually. we might even be close to a giant war. thats not unreasonable to say. everything falls. everything breaks.
the only real thing is true love. but people nowadays... whatever |

music: You've fallen into a trap. Because you cannot imagine something new--and most people cannot, so no shame--you assume no one else can. Don't worry--the future of rock is out there somewhere.
society: Yes, nearly everything is a commodity, or can be commodified. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, not always. Have fun with it, just be careful. PS- I'm in a good mood. |

Well I don't know what you mean by pinnacle, but whatever you mean it isn't now.

I prefer this, from Heraclitus:

well it's not that complicated really. you don't need to resort to paranoias or overworry about the "powerful people behind the scenes". the answer is really lots simpler and you already had it. your original posting said: "the only real thing is true love." well then. that's your solution. not to sound overly religious but you could start by practicing "true love" to transcend your depression and isolation and fear, etc. seriously. or in a language that i prefer, you could practice compassion towards your fellow sheep-- and yourself included. you could even extend that compassion towards the miserable powerful who need to fill their emptiness by controlling others. there. hows that for starters? no "but people..." or other excuses. feel free to pelt me with bananas but please no avocado pits or hard fruit like apples, or worse, coconuts. |

i have empathy and i have compassion towards everyone. i understand them and the place we are all brought up in and what it does to the minds of people. i hate no one except any violent, greedy, oppressors. i am not paranoid just open minded. i dont trip about those things they just piss me off.
everything is a lie. eveything is a product. there is no honesty. not 100% obviously but the vast majority. it seems pessimistic but its what i see. And im over it. fucking over it. love and family is all we need. Thanks. you are the tiny minority. peace |

See, either you recently ate some mushrooms and the full effect of vision hasn't fully formed yet or you just need to eat some and speed up this process of revelation. Disillusionment is the first step to psychological and spiritual freedom. Once you to the core of your being understand this is Plato's cave you can learn the cheat codes to better enjoy the game.

By the way, indeed love and family is all we need yet the deeper we dive into that as the years go by we find these are sometimes even more challenging than society! Hence again disillusionment with reality and discovering the cheat codes.

"youth culture" appeared when business discovered that teenagers had money to spend and started marketing to them. there was never a golden age of purity. mozart had patrons. art and money may fight in public but they fuck in bathroom stalls. |
