A thread similiar to this was posted by nerdosquare a long time ago. It was great. Regarding album cover art, have your tastes re: aesthetics or butt-uglyness changed since then?
Post a pic of an album cover of your choice---awesome, retro, geeky, freaky, etc. |

I used to really dislike the cover art for edition RZ. But now I've got quite a few of them, I really like their aesthetic. Touch records are pretty fine too: http://touchshop.org/contents/image....ts/TONE35.jpg& And the following did a good job of jumping off the shelves and into my collection:

I don't really care for 99.9% of album art. It's just something to look at. I don't really understand why people fuss over it.

As lame as it may sound, an album cover adds to a record's mystery and atmosphere... I don't think it's important if the music's good enough but I do like a good cover, especially if I'm owning the physical product.

This is my favorite cover of all time and I think it's the one that represents the most the atmosphere of the record itself.
The first time I saw it, I was left speechless. I would lie if I said that the cover has nothing to do with the fact that it's one of my favorite records ever. (Even if the musical content is awesome ! But I think the cover is very important for this album...)

Oh yeah, sorry, I forgot to say the name of the band and the title of the album... It's "Sunset Mission" by Bohren & der Club of Gore.
