Is that not just the best word? So deserves revisiting now and then, don't it.
What is your indulgence? Be serious.

What? Like vices? As a practicing hedonist...you're asking a lot from me.

I indulge mostly in activities that to anyone else would be a total waste of time.

P.O.D.'s discography, once a day. Can't start my morning without some P.O.D.

one offs or regularly?
baths with lush melts or bath fizzies cake, even if it isn't a regular designated cake time. chocolate sometimes.. this is silly though because I know I have bad reactions to it and it makes me feel awful. I still do it though. The darkest dark chocolate yum. I haven't really had the money to indulge in a lot this year.

IT'S ALWAYS CAKE TIME. Reluctantly crouched at the starting line, Engines pumping and thumping in time. The green light flashes, the flags go up. Churning and burning, they yearn for the cup. They deftly maneuver and muscle for rank, Fuel burning fast on an empty tank. Reckless and wild, they pour through the turns. Their prowess is potent and secretly stearn. As they speed through the finish, the flags go down. The fans get up and they get out of town. The arena is empty except for one man, Still driving and striving as fast as he can. The sun has gone down and the moon has come up, And long ago somebody left with the cup. But he's driving and striving and hugging the turns. And thinking of someone for whom he still burns. He's going the distance. He's going for speed. She's all alone In her time of need. Because he's racing and pacing and plotting the course, He's fighting and biting and riding on his horse, He's going the distance. No trophy, no flowers, no flashbulbs, no wine, He's haunted by something he cannot define. Bowel-shaking earthquakes of doubt and remorse, Assail him, impale him with monster-truck force. In his mind, he's still driving, still making the grade. She's hoping in time that her memories will fade. Cause he's racing and pacing and plotting the course, He's fighting and biting and riding on his horse. The sun has gone down and the moon has come up, And long ago somebody left with the cup. But he's striving and driving and hugging the turns. And thinking of someone for whom he still burns. Cause he's going the distance. He's going for speed. She's all alone In her time of need. Because he's racing and pacing and plotting the course, He's fighting and biting and riding on his horse. He's racing and pacing and plotting the course, He's fighting and biting and riding on his horse. He's going the distance. He's going for speed. He's going the distance.

cigars. I try not to buy any that are more than $10 a cigar. BUt they are still an indulgence.
Also fancy imported cheeses, fucking love that shit. love browsing for cheese, and some cured meats, proisciuto, sausages etc. sometimes one must indulge in gustatory decadence

i actually hate the word. in my head it sounds like "dulce" which is spanish for "sweet" (the edible kind, be it noun or adjective). anyway i dont have "indulgences" that i think of. i like pleasure, i get it. it's all a question of money but i always go all out, otherwise it's pointless. puritanism doesn't/ has never suited me. |

Yep, me too, amuse myself in hedonistic ways.
I love the night. The later the better. I also love the day, hence I get fuck-all sleep until I crash for 24 hours. So ... surfing, sounds and substances are my main indulgences. I have a mega sweet-tooth. Marble cake with choc icing. Cherry ripe. Coco-Pops. Rum. Red wine + double brie + kalamata olives. First drink of the day has got to be a decent beer.
