I'd say more outside of time, cheesy synths stopped being synonymous with THE FUTURE a decade ago, which I'm kind of sad about actually.

One has to be able to apply objective standards though.

I don't like Throbbing Gristle. Yet I recognise them as innovative musicians.

So I am not merely "inserting" my favourite bands. And to be honest, I can't see that everyone else is either.

Threads are what people make them, I agree. But it's not a stupid question.
