my mind is fucked. finished mixing sunday. depressed now. i can't hear my songs any more. hopefully once the dust settles it will be a beautiful colourful bold musical of rock, right now it doesn't even sound like music. wierd times.

Congratulations.
I know what that feels like. Mixing can destroy your will to ever hear your own tunes again as long as you live. It's like saying a word over and over until it becomes a vocal sound devoid of all meaning. Good news: it comes back eventually. Way to go. It's an accomplishment. |

thanks folks, had a sneaky listen whilst drunk last night and the first three sounded ok, found it tough to focus on what it is as oppossed to what it isn't though. thanks for kind words though, I wrote this post as I'm going round telling everyone and anyone it's finished as a way of making it finished in my head and preventing me going back to tinker about with mixes/harmonies etc. this dialogue is helping me stick to that. It is what it is!
