I wish that one awesome snake river conspiracy song/video was on youtube!
The one where she goes, "HEY!!!!! YOU FUCKING FAGGOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Anyway, 2 videos I like even though I wouldn't consider either band "nu metal" but they released albums around the time that definitely had a bit to do with it, and in ministry's case, they were ripped off by static-x, spineshank, etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEVik...eature=channel = 7 words by deftones http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXCh9OhDiCI = jesus built my hotrod by ministry (featuring gibby!) |

Cold had a sort of maturity to them a lot of nu-metal stuff didn't have.
I haven't seen that Limp Bizkit video in YEARS, fuck... I haven't seen it since I was 8 years old! Papa Roach were my favourite band back then, always loved 'Broken Home'. Oh and that claymation Slipknot video rules, MTV would never show it during the day but it was always played way late at night. That Glassjaw song also rules, always loved that also. Damn, I miss these bands. |

Sucks there's no video for this on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch#!v=XEfU4ss98ZA&feature=related This Staind song is awesome, it should have been a single. I love the album they have with the gun cocked at the beginning and then the gunshot at the end. Dark. http://www.youtube.com/watch#!v=KT33...eature=related another Staind song I used to love |

Oh man, TORMENTED by Staind is great. One of the first cd's I ever burnt. I printed out the covers too and made a "real" cd of it. Seriously awesome album -- why did they stop sounding like this?

Most of these bands became totally shitty. I liked Papa Roach until they started puffing their hair and wearing eyeliner and shit... they became horrible then.
The first 3 cd's I owned were Papa Roach's Infest, Offspring's Americana and Alien Ant Farm's ANThology (another good album). This was in 2001 so I was 7 going on to 8 years old And that guy from Glassjaw, all the bands he's been in recently have been TERRIBLE. Ever heard Head Automatica? Might as well listen to My Chemical Romance. |

It's funny how something like Coal Chamber has aged incredibly badly while Kittie just sound amazing now. I'm clearly getting old.

She's a very fine drummer. Better than most metal drummers. Ahead of their time, probably not - unfortunately, the only 'ahead of their time' bands in nu-metal were probably Primus, RATM and Janes Addiction (the first two remain utterly shite). Oh, and Korn, obviously.
What's class got to do with silly music?
